Poem: Before You Say Goodbye
Before You Say Goodbye
Before
you say goodbye, look into my eyes and tell me you love me.
Just
one word, even if it’ll remain in my heart for the rest of my life while
killing me softly.
One
simple word to let me remember of those happy days while I stand under the moon
thinking about you.
Before
you say goodbye, sing me a song to remind me of your voice, a voice I’ve loved
and will always love.
When
the radio comes on and I hear our love song, I’ll think it’s your voice singing
to me.
Before
you say goodbye, look deep into my heart and see how much you’ve hurt me.
See
how much love you’ve placed on my hands, and now, you just take it all away.
You
take your love away and leave me here alone to fulfill my dreams.
Say
goodbye with a kiss, with just a simple word of love even if you never come
back tomorrow.
I
want you to kiss me one last time.
After
you leave, I want to see you above the sky each night.
Under
the moonlight, I want to see you smiling down on me.
