Poem: Before the Goodbye

Before the Goodbye

Is it just me or has the world stopped turning?
All the laughter and happiness are now dead.
Am I the only one in this world without love?
Should I close my eyes and forget about love?
Should I sleep to forget the pain you’ve inflicted on me?
All the hellos and goodbyes come and go like the rain that washes away the love and lies that live in your heart.
The rain also washes away the memories when I look back to yesterday.
They were memories that made me so happy, but what’s left now?
What’s there to think about?
There’s no one here but the four walls.
No one cares anymore, and no one here but the goodbye of love.
