Sometimes it only takes one word of sorry to rebuild a relationship. It takes only one call to bridge that lost friendship.

I was very sad to hear of Marie Fredriksson's death last December. Listen to Your Heart is one of my favorite love songs from Roxette.

I wish Celine would make a good video for The Hard Way. I move this song!

Elton John's The One is an absolutely favorite song of mine. Whenever I listen to this song, I just picture myself in a large field somewhere with the sun shining down on me. This song brings a lot of emotions to your heart and soul. You just have to turn off the lights and listen to this song.

The Sweetest Day, sang by Vanessa Williams is also another one of my all-time favorite love songs. I love this song a lot. Whenever I listen to this song, I remember of the 1990s when Music Box was popular. I think it was called Music Box, where viewers call into the station and pay a fee to have a song plays. This song was also played a lot on VH1 back then. The good old days of music...

I had a chance to see Vanessa Williams in concert in 2019 at the Kennedy Center. She sang some of my favorite songs of all time, and this is one of the classic love songs I really love from Vanessa Williams. She sang this song with Brian McKnight in the 1990s.

 George Michael is one of my favorite singer. I had a chance to go see him live many years ago before his death. Most importantly, I got to hear him sing one of my favorite songs from him, Father Figure. This song is just so powerful with the melodies, beats, and lyrics. "It's in your eyes...and love can't lie...no..."

 Another one of my favorite songs that I listen to is Selena's Dreaming of You. I love this song. When the world is sleeping, I'll be thinking of you...

Caravansary, composed by Kitaro and sang by Richard Page. This is one of my all-time favorite songs that gives me inspiration to sit down and write my poems. There are songs that make you want to sit down and write what you feel in your heart. Caravansary is that song for me!

One of my favorite authors whose novels I loved to read during my teenage years was Lois Duncan. I was very sad to hear of her passing in 2016.  I read many of her teen, horror, thriller books including I Know What You Did Last Summer, Down a Dark Hall, Summer of Fear, and Killing Mr. Griffin. For me, the early 1990s represented a time when teen horror fiction novels were on the rise. Duncan was one of the authors who really captivated my interests even though most of her novels were written in the 1970s. However, the novels really pulled in a wider audience in the 90s with the teen/horror/thriller/suspense genre picking up thanks to many other authors including Christopher Pike, R.L. Stine, etc. Many of Duncan's novels are also not that long, which was how many of the young teen fiction novels were during this period. If you like the teen/horror/suspense genre, give Lois Duncan a read. I would recommend reading I Know What You Did Last Summer, Daughter of Eve, and Summer of Fear -

Writing poetry is a great way to express your feelings, put words out on paper (or computer), and share your deepest inner thoughts. When you write what you are feeling, it helps you become stress-free because you are putting all the love, hurt, pain, etc., out into words.  You can share your words with others, or you can just write for yourself. Writing poetry is similar to writing a letter. Maybe you're writing this letter to yourself or to someone else. Let those words out.  So, while we are under this covid-19 cloud, sit down and write a poem. Or better yet, how about a little short story? N.N. Nicky
